That's why we're proud to present Students With Altitude Day, a free educational experience created to inspire the next generation of innovators, problem solvers, and future leaders.

Held on the Friday of Pacific Airshow, Students With Altitude Day welcomes middle and high school students from across Southern California to experience the excitement of America's most attended airshow while exploring our immersive NXTGN STEM LAB.

The NXTGN STEM LAB is a dedicated innovation hub where students can engage directly with leading organisations across aviation, aerospace, defence, engineering, advanced manufacturing, technology, and skilled trades. Through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, flight simulators, robotics, career conversations, and real-world demonstrations, students gain valuable insight into the industries shaping tomorrow.

As California schools continue to expand Career Technical Education (CTE) and career readiness programs, Students With Altitude Day provides an engaging opportunity to complement classroom learning with authentic industry experiences. Students gain valuable insight into emerging industries, discover career pathways they may never have considered, and meet the professionals turning innovation into reality every day.

Beyond this zone, students experience the power of innovation in action as world-class aircraft and pilots take to the skies above Huntington Beach, bringing classroom concepts to life in a way no textbook ever could.

Students With Altitude Day is Pacific Airshow's way of giving back to our community. By removing financial barriers, we're creating opportunities for thousands of young people to explore future careers, connect with industry professionals, and leave inspired to dream bigger than ever before.

School Arrival & Departure Information 

Due to the large number of schools attending Students With Altitude day on Friday October 2, all school groups coming by bus will use a designated bus drop-off area along the Pacific Coast Highway. 

We also require one point of contact for each bus. This will allow our team to communicate with you directly as your bus approaches and during departure. 

Please email info@pacificairshow.com with your bus contact name and phone number if you have not already and we will update your bus registration form accordingly. 

Best Address to use to access drop-off/pick up location: 21351 CA-1, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 

There is no bus parking available at this location. It is a bus drop-off and collection point only.

Coming by car? All car parking is still managed and operated by the City of Huntington Beach Parking.

Departure 

  • At the end of the day, return to your drop-off point on PCH, where your bus will be waiting. 

  • Buses are able to remain parked in the designated bus zone while awaiting their school group, subject to direction from the on-ground coordinator. 

Thank you for your cooperation. These arrangements will help ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient arrival and departure for all schools attending. 

Students With Altitude Day: FAQs: 

  • Any parents of students that are not registered as part of your school registration but would like to attend, are welcome to attend by purchasing a Friday General Admission ticket. 

  • Pacific Airshow can produce loud noise during some of the performances. If children don't like loud noises or you are worried about the noise, we advise you to bring along some earplugs. 

  • Food and beverages are available to purchase on site but small homemade personal food (so a kid’s lunchbox) can be brought in but will need to be kept with the child/group (there is no cold storage on site). Please note that NO GLASS is allowed to enter the venue. 

  • Yes, further information will be provided to you in mid-September regarding tickets for your school. There will be a collection location just south of GATE B where you will show your ticket and collect your school’s package of wristbands for entry. Your entire group must enter together. 

    Teachers and helpers will also be required to bring along ID on the day. 

  • Pacific Airshow is a highly photographed event. Images of students may be used in future promotions of our event.  Please ensure parents are aware of this when signing their excursion permissions. Full Entry Conditions are available and our standard Ticket Policy is available online. Attendance at the event constitutes agreement to these terms on behalf of the students. 

  • It’s up to you to keep track of your students. 

    Before attending the show, plan to take a quick group photo of your students. 

    This will help us in the unlikely event a child becomes separated from the group, as we’ll have an up-to-date record of what each student is wearing on the day. 

    Please also include a contact number in ALL student bags so that if they are lost, we can get in touch to reunite the student with their group. 

  • No. You’ll be responsible for taking your class through the NXTGN STEM LAB zone. Closer to the event we will email you a recommended time for your class. This is a suggested time to avoid congestion in the area.
